All students are eligible to take part in the annual concert, but must attend classes regularly throughout the year and be committed to attend the compulsory Dress Rehearsal and any extra rehearsals at the end of the year.

COSTUME HIRE remains at $35 for 1st costume and $20 for subsequent ones and is payable at the beginning of Term 3.

Classes are subject to change depending on numbers.

Attendance needs to be punctual and regular.

A water bottle needs to brought to each class.

Parents of new students or anxious students may watch the class, but I encourage you to wait in the kitchen area or outside on the verandah (at Linuwel) to allow for better concentration and to build confidence in the children. Siblings need to be supervised.

If students are discontinuing classes or will be absent for more than two weeks, please advise your class teacher.

PRIVATE LESSONS can be arranged on a weekly/ fortnightly or occasional basis. Homeschooled children can arrange a suitable time that is not currently in the timetable.

BALLET EXAMS will be held in Maitland this year.

Students who wish to take the ballet exam in 2019 are strongly encouraged to attend more than one ballet class per week.

The Grade 6 students who may be starting Pointe work this year will find it essential.

Any student (Grade 2 & over) who wishes to take a second ballet class is encouraged to do so, as their strength and technique will benefit.

As all the exam work requires a foundation and knowledge of the previous grade, the student should also attend the lower grade as their second class or alternatively, arrange for a private 1/2 hour class: - Monday or Tuesday 3-4 or Saturday 9 - 10. Some students may also try the class above their own level (check with me first).

UNIFORM needs to be worn to class with hair neat and tidy in a bun.

Uniform   is available at FLIGHT DANCE STORE in GEORGE ST MAITLAND (opposite The Windsor Hotel).

OPEN DAY will be held during the last week of terms 1, 2 and 3 when parents may watch a class in progress.

SAFETY: Parents need to ensure their child is picked up from the hall, not in car parks or on the street. Siblings need to be supervised in and around the halls..

I am also a member of LETS which is a local cashless trading system. It is a broad barter system and students may pay in this manner also. Although admin & concert expenses are usually done with $. If you are interested in this please check it out online at Hunter LETS. Also some parents may barter directly.
